Waterborne Paints

Lee Collision Center Westbrook now uses a waterborne basecoat, as well as waterborne finishes, to produce a superior paint finish that is far less hurtful to the environment. Our move to waterborne paints will annually prevent over 300 pounds of volatile organic compounds from entering the atmosphere every year. That's the equivalent to taking more than 1,000 vehicles off the road annually!

An Eco-Friendly Environment

We have invested in making our body shop as healthy as possible for our employees and for the environment. Some of those steps include:

• Use of waterborne basecoat and low VOC products
• Use of high-volume, low-pressure spray guns
• Addition of a computerized paint mixing system to reduce waste
• Addition of a paint solvent recycling machine
• Regular ventilation system maintenance
• Use of eco-friendly cleaning products
• Addition of energy-savings lights in paint booths
